Some Past Camper's Thoughts...

We found this hidden gem nestled in the wilds of Montana to be one of the best places we stayed in a 6 week long cross county trip. It was clean, natural and the creek was stunning. A few fly fisherman were successful in bringing home trout for dinner. Our only regret is that we didnt spend enough time there. The hosts were lovely. We camped at Ekstroms Stage Station in a Motorhome. ~ RV Life Review 5 stars

“Very nice little hidden gem campground. All grass, easy access, large full and partial hookup sites. Dog friendly just clean up (as you should anyway). River just behind campground, really pretty!” ~ Kathy H. 5 stars

“My husband and I had made a reservation at another park and due to a mix-up in dates we were unable to stay at that RV park. We went to this RV park and was greeted well. They were able to accommodate us and we were very pleased with the site. The people there were very friendly and the park overall was in good condition.” ~ Joe F. 5 stars

“This is the third time we have stayed at this Campground. It has been a great experience every time, but especially this time. The host was more than helpful with setting up a site and any questions that we had. I would recommend it highly.” ~ Joyce N.5 stars

“1 mile off of I-90. Much fishing opportunity on Rock Creek which flows into the Clarks Fork River. Close to Missoula, MT. Staff very likable. Verizon cell service was good.” Fox E. 5 stars

No matter how many times we stay at Ekstrom’s, we always come back for more. For us, it’s close to home, provides the electrical hook up we require (for medical needs), has great fishing and a fully equipped fly shop (with draft beer). New owners Jessica, Peter and son Ellis are very nice and accommodating. We’ll certainly be back next season..” ~ Sherry K. 5 stars

“We had a great stay! It was very quiet and the facilities were maintained very well. I would stay there again.” ~ Carter H. 5 stars

“We have always had five star experiences here – even when we screwed up, they worked with us to change our spot! Always clean, staff is awesome! We are on repeat!!” ~ Karen T. 5 stars

“This park was fantastic. We were in the power and water sites in the trees. These are gorgeous. The full hookups are in a grassy field and sort of close but the ones on the end are better. We just dumped at the on-site dump on the way out. Nice bathrooms and showers. There is a nice laundry room. The restaurant was closed during our stay but it was fine. Gorgeous river runs through the back of the property. 20 min to Missoula on the I-90. I would definitely stay here again. The setting was so beautiful. There is a playground and wagons and teepees to explore for kids. Also, it is far from the highway and train. You don’t hear either.” ~ Jessica D.5 stars

“We always enjoy Staying at Ekstroms Stage Station and the new owners are doing a great job. The setting is wonderful and the cabins are comfortable. We will be back next year..” ~ Mary E. 5 stars

We chose this RV park because we read a review hidden gem and we agree totally with that description. Grass grounds, full hook up, nice bathrooms and laundry. It was far enough off I90 that we did not hear highway noise. Add a reservation on line, then stop in the Rock Creek Fish store at the entrance. There were only few RVs in the park. We learned, It changed ownership a couple of months ago. The restaurant is a historic site and slowly being renovated. The new owners stopped at our site. It was shared that they plan to make the park a tiny home community with limited nightly RV spaces. Until then, check it out, it was very relaxing and clean. We camped at Ekstroms Stage Station in a Motorhome.” ~ Double S. 5 stars
